Abdominal Migraines is a condition characterized by stomach pain, nausea and vomiting. It is more common in children, and sometimes may evolve into migraine headaches. The cause for abdominal migraine is unknown but it is more common in children who have a family member that suffers from migraine headache.

Symptoms include recurrent episodes of stomach pain that last between 1-72 hours. Other symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite and pale appearance.
Diagnosis is based upon findings from medical history and physical examination and is done by ruling out other conditions.
Treatment during an episode focuses on relieving symptoms with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications, triptans,and anti-nausea medications. Between episodes, there could be some medications to prevent attacks such as Pizotifen, calcium channel blockers, antihistamines and beta blockers.
