Hiii it’s Blue! In the past week, I’ve had a seizure, experienced short term memory loss from that seizure, started my period. Meaning, pain. Additionally, I’ve missed university lectures because of doctors appointments to be reviewed. My feelings of anger and procrastination have increased. I also had a ptsd nightmare last night which was horrible. I got stabbed among other things. I just need some advice and some comforting words to ensure that I’m not crazy because I don’t feel like myself. 🫤😫 Thank you! 🫶🏼

I’m sorry. 🤗 I know how a seizure feels; they really suck. And the memory loss is horrible, especially since pretty much all seizure drugs just make it worse. I’m a dude, so I’m not sure if seizures are worse during a period, but it sounds like they are. 😥 As for the PTSD, I’m curious if that was caused by the epilepsy?

@JuliusSeizure thank you for being so considerate. My mum thinks the epilepsy was caused by the trauma and my doctors have been looking into it for a long time. My ptsd gets triggered more on my period. Also, I am in pain on my period so if I have a seizure, I will be in pain plus achiness from the spasms plus more. Therefore, it’s a lot more difficult to deal with on my period.

One thing that my therapist always reminds me is, "You are not crazy, what happened to you is/was crazy." I don't know if you needed this, but it often helps me. Not to mention, you are a warrior!

@EliteLexy aw than you. That does help because sometimes I feel like I’m the only one feeling the way I do. So thank you for reminding me that I’m not crazy, the situation is. Separating the situation from myself is important xx :)

One of the replies to Blue's situation was: "Issues/disorders/illnesses—especially (c)PTSD—tend to pile on when something stressful like that happens, so it’s no surprise to me that that’s happened to you. I don’t have any advice, but you’re definitely not crazy or alone in this."
