Hiii it’s Blue! In the past week, I’ve had a seizure, experienced short term memory loss from that seizure, started my period. Meaning, pain. Additionally, I’ve missed university lectures because of doctors appointments to be reviewed. My feelings of anger and procrastination have increased. I also had a ptsd nightmare last night which was horrible. I got stabbed among other things. I just need some advice and some comforting words to ensure that I’m not crazy because I don’t feel like myself. 🫤😫 Thank you! 🫶🏼

Also, you are not alone in feeling like your world is turning upside down because of so many bad things happening at once. I am feeling similar.

@Ash.G I hope you’re doing okay?

@Blue001 I am doing better for today at least, hopefully longer than that. This morning was not great though. I hope the same for you.
Are the seizures a recent issue?
@Ash.G no I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 13 years old
@Blue001 oh, I see. I am glad that you have a proper diagnosis. I hope your memory gets back to normal soon.

You're not alone. Everything can seem to hit you at once sometimes but you've managed everything individually before so stay strong and you'll make it through this time. I know it's overwhelming at times, and scary. But focus on it as 1 big struggle rather than multiple and it can help feel less overwhelming

I suffered an epileptic seizure with short term memory loss nearly 7 years ago, so I know just how scary an experience like that can be. You're not alone.
@Brally thank you for your comment. It’s really hard and frustrating sometimes and my door is open if you ever want to chat :)

@Blue001 hello blue,I am also going though alot. My father isn't healthy. I have an increase in sezuires and very soon i will be staying in a emu. I ain't the best at being locked up in a hospital and it is very hard for me. 😥😥
Hey Blue, you're definitely not crazy. I understand how you feel and how overwhelming it can be, but you will get through this! I get a ton of strange and terrible symptoms on my stressful weeks (finals week, etc) and it can definitely take me out for a while after as well. Sticking to routines (as much as possible) and finding something small to focus on/look forward to (like building a puzzle, making art, watching a show or playing a game) is very helpful for me as I can break life down into little bite sized sections between my breaks where I do something to relax. Stay strong, dude!

@BeetleBug aw thank you so much for saying that. I’ve never thought of breaking life into little sections before. Maybe I will try that to see if it helps. Thank you for your advice and reassurance! X ☺️☺️
I definitely get what you mean, when you say that you feel crazy and you don't feel like yourself. I think that you are a very, very brave person to have all of these things going on, and you're still trying to make it to your university lectures. The best advice that I can offer is to just take a step back from your responsibilities, take a few deep breaths, and tell yourself "I've got this." You are not crazy by any stretch of the imagination, and you are not alone. Perhaps take a little time to do something you enjoy, before you try to dive back into it. As for the procrastination, the best thing I can recommend is making lists of everything you need to do, and breaking larger jobs down into smaller steps. That's one of the few things that works with me and my ADHD, and getting large tasks completed on time.
@verasama thank you for saying that. I was tidying my room today and I just felt so overwhelmed by how much I had to do so I put on a YouTube video and just started. I had a hug from my house mate which helped a lot and I’ve been gentle with myself which has helped too xx
@Blue001 That is definitely the way to do it. When it comes to cleaning my room, I do my best to break everything up into small sections, and to write out each step, because I can mark it off of the list and it makes me feel a bit more accomplished and motivated to keep going. So one step would be to sweep the floor, one step would be to mop the floor, one step would be to make the bed, and one step would be to pick up all the dog toys (I've got two, and they leave their toys everywhere lol) and so on. And the best thing about doing it in this manner is if I'm starting to fill overwhelmed, I can just sit down and take a short break. YouTube is another one of my big cheats. Lol I love watching video game playthroughs, so sometimes I can turn on one that I've seen before and I'm listening to it rather than focusing on what I'm doing, and that also seems to help. I hope that you're feeling better, and just remember that you can do this. ❤️
Oh gosh, that’s super rough. 😞 I get what you mean by not feeling like yourself and needing support. Issues/disorders/illnesses—especially (c)PTSD—tend to pile on when something stressful like that happens, so it’s no surprise to me that that’s happened to you. I don’t have any advice, but you’re definitely not crazy or alone in this. 🧡
@serendi thank you for saying that. I appreciate it x ☺️
