Just got the results back from the neck down MRI I got. They couldn't find anything wrong. I've had a blood test and x-rays done. Having chronic pain but not even knowing why is so frustrating. I want to cry

I’m so sorry I know how frustrating not getting results is! But remember that does not mean your symptoms are not real you are going through an awful and REAL experience no matter what the tests say. There are some things that don’t show up on tests I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia after numerous negative tests. I hope you find your answer good luck!!!

I'd suggest neurology next? Or some kind of nerve testing?

I'm so sorry it's taking long for the doctors to find what's causing you pain it's super frustrating when you're in pain and then can't tell you why 😭 I hope they find out soon! 🙏
I am so sorry you are having so much pain. I too have a pain in my neck. Specifically on my left side. Pain radiates into my head and down my back. I had cat-scans and X-rays. Can’t do MRI due to metal clips in my head from old brain surgery in 2002. Surprisingly every test comes back normal or no change from previous one. Yet I wake up at nights with excruciating pain in my neck and back of my head. It’s gotten so bad I have to take expensive prescription migraine medication to dull the head and neck pain. I can’t sleep on my sides anymore due to this pain. So I trained myself to sleep on my back. Lately it doesn’t matter in what position I sleep. Pretty much I wake up every night and can’t get back to sleep. If anyone has similar condition and found a solution for the pain, please share with us 🙏🏻
Not knowing what’s going on can be very frustrating. I can relate.

That sounds like some form of arthritis. Your nerves are shot. How much do you stress throughout the day? And do you get enough sleep?
@Zeethegay25 from my years long research my symptoms line up perfect with fibromyalgia. I feel like I'm pretty stressed. Especially since I'm also trying to balance being in high school. I sleep a ton. Sometimes I can sleep 9-12 hours. All I can do is go to school sometimes and that's is PUSHING it just because I can't afford to miss
@That_Witch if it's mostly in your legs and feet it's Polymyalgia. It is more geared towards just the hands, feet, legs and your neck. If it is the whole body all the time then is it fibro. But poly attacks specific parts of the body.
If you don't mind me asking where is most of the pain coming from? It is in your neck, back, or mostly in your joints?
@Zeethegay25 I guess I can say my legs and feet. They seem to have been getting worse and my balance has been getting worse. Although everything hurts, sometimes they ache all over or sometimes it's just a spot and it goes away in a few minutes
