I talked to a pain management specialist for a second opinion the other day and he looked over all my recent scans and blood work and said that there's nothing wrong with me and I can't take any of the possible meds because of family history and the other meds I'm on. I'm having such a bad pain day that I had to leave work early and I'm so fatigued/exhausted but I also can't sleep. I'm just so frustrated that no one can find a reason/treatment for my pain. I'm obviously in pain so how can nothing be wrong??? I guess this is more of a rant but advice or encouragement would be nice

@brokenstardust they can check you for pressure points regarding fibromyalgia. It sounds like your doc is a non-believer!

unfortunately all the doctors are in network of my insurance so I don't really get a say in who I see, I did ask my primary if I could get a referral to a neurologist to see if its a nerve thing, otherwise I'll ask about fibromyalgia and possibly medical marijuana to help with the pain

Have you been checked for fibromyalgia?

@Toes as far as I know there aren't really any tests for it, I asked my doctor if it could be fibromyalgia and he said maybe and just moved on lmao

@brokenstardust there aren't any test per se, but there is clinical criteria that can be used to make a diagnosis. if I were you I would see if you could try a different doctor. I've noticed I've had better luck when I ask for recommendations and I always look them up ahead of time and see what other people say about them. I think it's helped me to avoid some BS that I probably would still be encountering if I just picked a random doctor
