This isn’t strictly with anxiety, but I feel as though it plays a huge part. Does anyone else ever feel really difficult to love ? Like you’re just this huge ball of problems and you don’t want to burden others with that ? If so, how do you handle that ? Tldr: how do you handle feeling hard to love because of your illness ?

Distractions usually. Sometimes I can't distract myself though so I just try to go to bed.

I struggle with intense feelings of guilt constantly so I know exactly what you mean. I try my hardest to ignore it, and positive affirmations from my partner helps sometimes. It can be overwhelming at times but you just have to remember that the people there for you genuinely care. If they don't, then unfortunately they're not the right people.

It's so hard for e to be around people sometimes and I become so distance so I can't ever keep friends. I have one friend at the moment and she is supportive of me and understands when I need my space and when I feel good. You just have to let someone learn about what you need and let them try and help you, cause if they love you they will understand and help you.
For me all that helped was time, my boyfriend stuck by me but he knows enough to be there for me when he can but not sacrifice his own wellbeing for mine. You can't dump all your negative emotions on someone and GAD and depression make it easier to, but you have to try and stop yourself. Honestly when I feel like i'm doing too much I also just try to go to sleep.

yes yes yes! honestly, i know my intentions are pure, so if someone chooses to stick around (and it’s a healthy relationship) then it’s easier to feel like you deserve it. but the biggest reason that’s helped me is my bf. literally any time i start feeling like a burden or unloveable, i can kinda share it (just not in detail bc then i’ll feel like more of a burden lol) and he always talks me down & let’s me know how untrue that thought is. it’s hard to let go of it, but finding someone who understands and will help you feel better is probably the biggest one— at least for me
