How do you combat feeling like a burden to those around you when you can’t work as much as others and have to constantly rely on them for help?

I tell myself that I would do the exact same thing for them! I also try be a lovely person to be around. For example, positive, friendly, grateful, funny, in the hopes that people enjoy my company and I feel like less of a burden!

I go through the same things! A lot of my friends mother me which is nice at times but recently it’s been making me feel like I will never be able to take care of myself and have lost the person I once was. Still trying to process my emotions but what really helps is venting and letting know how its making me feel to other people
Oof, this hits home. I think what’s really helped me is the power of remembering their personal autonomy; people only stay “because they feel bad” or “they feel like they have to” for so long. People make choices to help you because they care for you and want you to be well. I hope this helps!!

It’s hard. Takes therapy and work in therapy. I’m even going through a divorce right now where my soon to be ex husband called me a burden. It’s hard to combat those feelings but the right people will be there for you and take care of you ♥️
Same here! It’s a struggle sometimes ❤️

I'm in the same boat.
I wish I knew, then I’d do it. Hang in there bud!
