Anyone who is around age 39 who has had a hysterectomy bc of endometriosis recently, did you notice a change, better or worse, in PMS mental and physical symptoms at all? Were you glad you had it done? I’m probably going to have one but I don’t have any children so it’ll be extra tough for me. I’m scared my mental and physical PMS symptoms will return bc I’ll probably have to stop the Oralissa. I’ve been on that since March or so and it helped some. I’m just really scared about what bad things might happen. Can anyone share some feedback and support? Thanks

One person mentioned having a full hysterectomy at age 34 and stated that while the pain was gone, they were dealing with surgical induced menopause. Another person had a hysterectomy at age 32. One person who had a hysterectomy in March of the same year reported that their pain was much better after the procedure. However, recovery was hard for them. Some people experienced menopause symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, weight gain, and increased hunger after the surgery but preferred these to the pain from endometriosis. Others mentioned that hormone replacement therapy helped with the menopause symptoms.
