tw vent: I just feel so guilty for needing help, I feel guilty for being disabled and having to rely on others. Especially because I don't have anyone that lives with me that can help, I have to help them. The only one that helps take care of me is my partner but I feel guilty for accepting their help. idk just struggling with discovering I'm disabled. has anyone else that's disabled gone through this?

I’m in the same situation as you. I feel like my partner is under a lot of pressure to take care of me. I’m disabled and on top of that I have mental health disorders. Sometimes they feel like it’s their duty to take care of me and once described it as a routine. It makes me feel horrible but I’ve learned to accept that in the disabled community, no one wants us to be alone and they are surrounded with constant worry that something bad will happen to us.
