How do I deal with being sober. i feel like i cant do anything anymore i cant even watch TV without being high and now that I don’t have any more drugs in my possession it’s really hard being able to sit in my room and feel my emotions stirring within me. People tell me I have to quit because it’s bad for me but I seriously can’t do anything without it and I know i’m depending on it too much but I feel like it’s my only way of functioning like a normal human. I already dropped out of school last week and i’m at an all time low and not being able to smoke has left me alone and scared and I feel like I can’t sit with myself when I’m sober.

I feel as if the first few months getting off of anything will be miserable but eventually your body will adjust and then your mind will follow. I know ir sucks to hear but you really just have to tough it out.

Suddenly being sober is a drastic change in your life, I understand. It's not easy to cope with, but give it time, and it will get so, so much better. It may seem horrible right now, but give it time and things will get a little easier every day. Your situation is completely understandable, and you should try reaching out to either ex alcoholics, therapists, anyone who's willing to listen and help. I'm proud of you for being sober, even if it's only for a little bit. You are trying to help yourself, or others are trying to help you, and that is a huge furst step. Keep going ❤️

congrats on getting sober!!!! it’s something i’m still trying to achieve. even though it’s hard to be sober, try and be grateful you’re not playing russian roulette with your life and overall health every time you use. i’ve found it to be a big motivator in trying to quit.

I recognize this is a hard time in your life but you will get through this. It's unbelievably hard to imagine but as you mentioned, this is an all time low, but their will be another good moment again.
