Hi! I was diagnosed with a non seminoma germ cell tumor 5 weeks ago, had the orchiectomy. One node on my left abdomen (tumor was right testicle) lit up on the CT and my tumor markers shot back up the past 2 weeks so I was staged 2A and am now starting 4 rounds of chemo today (cisplatin + etoposide). The recommendation is that I also undergo RPLND surgery after chemo. Questions: - what did you wish you had known before starting chemo? What, if anything, would you do differently (or not do) knowing what you know now? - what should I be asking my doctor? - what, if any, holistic therapies did you try and did anything help? (Either apart from or alongside chemo) - Did you opt for robotic or open RPLND? And why? Thank you!
