Should I do chemo after surgery?

Hello my doctor wants me to do chemo but the surgery says he removed all the cancer. Should I do the chemo?

I had colon cancer and I did the full surgery for them to remove the mass the surgeon said he didn’t think I needed chemo but the oncologist said she wanted to do chemo because of my age.

that is tough. But if you have nothing to treat what would you be treating? That's what I would ask the provider and what's the usual course of action fotlr stage 2. Once answered If you can have a serious discussion with family about pros and cons. Hopefully this helps some. ❤️

I had stage 1 they told me I didn't have to do chemo or other meds because it was removed by recesction. The only one that can make the final decision really is you. I was offered by my surgeon to do the full surgery instead of just the sigmoidoscopy resection (which is where they go in by ultrasound and a scope and remove it) but they later came back and said that they couldn't encourage me to get the surgery because it was no need. But what is the reasoning for your surgeon to recommend chemo?

What stage was your cancer? Are any lymph nodes involved? Did you have a mass?
