Does anyone else here eat more sugar than they should? I'm trying to get it under control but it's hard. What are your usual post meal readings?

@blaqueteddy Monk Fruit is awesome!! For someone who can not use other forms of artificial sweeteners, like those that contain aspartame or sucralose, monk fruit is a great alternative. It tastes exactly like sugar and has a 1:1 ratio (meaning you can substitute an equal amount in recipes). 1 cup of monk fruit equals 1 cup of sugar. It does cook slightly differently, though. I used it for monkey bread, and it hardened too much, so it wasn't ooey-gooey.

Monk fruit sugar is good or coconut Suger and make sure you have cinnamon it helps to lower your sugar... Eating organic fruit for breakfast helps a lot too especially apples and pears

Not sugar but carbs yes. Carbs are my downfall. I have found a couple lower carb alternatives and luckily I do enjoy salads and some protein options like tuna, Halloumi, chicken etc.

My blood sugars are crazy on Metformin. Luckily they rarely go above 160, but they'll sometimes dip to 60 where I have to eat more sugar, so it's a vicious cycle. I probably should add more fiber to my diet.

I definitely have a harder time staying away from sugars and carbs when I'm depressed or super stressed. Then I feel even more sluggish and in more pain. UGH. Why do I do that to myself? I still haven't gotten into the habit of the post-meal check, but I do check it 3x daily.

One user mentioned that they struggle with binge eating and their blood sugar can go from 80 to 280 within 2 hours after coming home. Another user shared that their blood sugars are mostly under 200, but sometimes they are under 100. It's important to work on controlling sugar intake and consult a healthcare professional for personalized advice.
