I am having an horrendous time, been in a flare for a couple of weeks but the last few days have been worse than ever. in so much pain and then had a fall to top it off 😖 if hospitals were not struggling as they are I seriously considered going to a and e as oromorph and diazepam just are not doing enough 😢 sorry I just needed to let it out to others who will understand ❤️

I’m so sorry I hope there’s something your doctor can do to help soon. I know what it’s like to hurt it’s not fun.

yeah so helpful! I'm aware that they will probably just tell me that's what it is and there's nothing they can do really but having a diagnosis is a start, especially since I've been dealing with symptoms for over a decade!

      • ClaireAngel

        451d

@Belleromeo yes it definitely helps to have the diagnosis, just don't expect more of them then you won't feel as disappointed as I did 😞

@ClaireAngel thank you, I've heard this from a few people. At this point, I just need some answers!

aw that sucks, I've had appts cancelled because of the strikes. To be honest, rheumatology didn't really help me, he just diagnosed me with one of the worst cases of fibro he had ever seen. Helpful huh?

@ClaireAngel yea my endo surgeon apt was cancelled. I no wat u mean pain is just unbearable,I voildnt even brush my hair yesterday. I have a few things that help with freshening up better than baby wipes. I'm having to use atm cud it's just horrendous, the only thing I can say is at least ure hubby's there for wen u cnt move with pain.im single with my dog and somtimes just getting up is agonising, she has a walker now but daily things at home r getting harder but she keeps me from completly giving up on life n she's happy,I just have b very organised n find ways round things, altho it's so bad atm she's staying with her doggy friend for few days cus it's just at a level I've never known b4. R u on diclofenac? I was on mefanamic acid for endo pain too

I've been in a flare for a few months now and it's only getting worse, unfortunately rheumatology appointment (my first consultation to hopefully get a diagnosis...) Was cancelled and moved to 6 months away 😭

Hi. I hear you. I'm in a major fibro flare, that feels never ending and excruciating. I've taken everything I can for pain & wish I could take more. Have been in bed for most of the last few days.

      • ClaireAngel

        451d

@Butterfly2be aw sorry to hear that, yeah I'm still stuck in bed too maxed out on pain relief and wishing I could take more but I can't 😭 sending a gentle hug x

@Risbabe aw sorry to hear that, feels so cruel doesn't it? Sending a gentle hug x

Sending you Gentle hugs. I am so glad you're telling us how you feel. I hope you didn't hurt yourself badly when you fell. Try not to focus on the negative things you're going through. Try and focus on the things that make you feel good 💕

      • ClaireAngel

        451d

@Dragon_Mum hi, thanks, I'm trying but this is one of I'd not the worst flare I've ever had and the pain is so bad that it's difficult to distract from 😭 I desperately need a shower and to wash my hair but I can't even manage that 😭

        • sorenachy

          450d

@ClaireAngel try to use baby wipes to clean where you can and call it good for now. You can only do as much as you can do when even your hair hurts

        • pompom78

          451d

@ClaireAngel I know exactly what you mean when you talk about not being able to wash your hair or take a bath/shower. If the reason isn't pain it's fatigue. I feel ashamed to say it but my standards of hygiene aren't half of what they used to be!! X

I feel this ❤️ I hope today is a little easier for you. It's so overwhelming, especially as with the NHS's on it's butt it means chronic pain'ers are less likely to reach out for help even though we need it ☹️ Hoping your flare ends soon ❤️

      • ClaireAngel

        451d

@avelvetcrowbar still struggling loads and feeling really down and fed up 😭 have so much to do but stuck in bed 😭

No apology necessary! We all need to vent!!! I am so sorry you're hurting so much!

      • ClaireAngel

        454d

@TabbysMom thank you so much, I hate moaning but it's so hard when the pain is so bad you can't distract yourself from it 😢

        • sorenachy

          453d

@ClaireAngel we all have to moan at some point. At least here, we understand what you are going through.

          454d

@ClaireAngel I get you! The pain makes me sound like some old ghost in a creepy mansion. There are times distractions are useless. Bless you!

I'm sorry you're struggling, I've been in a flare for about 6 months. I finally got to see my Rheumatologist today after waiting months to be seen. Are you taking pain meds? I see you take diazepam, but I couldn't understand what you were saying before that. There's usually someone around to talk to if need to vent again. Good luck and I hope you get some relief.❤️

      • ClaireAngel

        454d

@Raquel226 hi, yeah on a bunch of meds that I take regularly then for breakthrough pain I take morphine and diazepam. A 6 month flare sounds horrendous. I'm in pain all the time but this is just another level. Can't believe I fell when I was already in pain 😢

    • pompom78

So sorry to hear this. Yes, it does some of us good, me included, to just get stuff of our chest. I hope you are feeling better soon. I'm currently on sick leave with fibromyalgia, depression and possibility of being perimenopausal. I had my 1st CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) session this morning, I'm really hoping it helps. ❤️

      • ClaireAngel

        454d

@pompom78 aw yes my Dr is sure I'm perimenopausal too, fun huh? Been having lots of breakthrough bleeds and in agony with those due to the other health issues I have. Honestly just want to cry but I don't have the energy 😭 Good luck with the CBT, let me know if you feel it is helping xxx

@ClaireAngel I can't believe how similar we are. I'm crying cus I no exactly what ure talking about

        454d

@pompom78 what's involved in the CBT? If you don't mind sharing your experience.

        • Pain_Warrior89

          450d

@Raquel226 I've had cbt it's trying to change how u see pain. Altho person I had just constantly said "just shut the door on pain" had clearly never dealt with chronic pain happy to tell u more if u message me x

        • pompom78

          451d

@Raquel226 sorry for late reply. I've only had one session of CBT so don't have much to tell as yet. It's basically learning ways of using your mind to help with coping skills etc. I'm sure if you google it, it will tell you exactly what it is xx
