any tips for how to function when your routine is interrupted, really struggling with this right now

Is it a more long term interruption? If so, maybe try to adjust your routine to include it/work around it, that way it might be easier to see it as normal. If not, maybe try to think of it as a slight detour from schedule. The best way I can think of to describe what I’m imagining is this: you take your normal route to work (your routine) , but there is construction on the highway (the interruption). You get off an early exit to avoid it, taking a different route (the change in schedule). Thankfully, you eventually come back to one of the same roads you always take (your usual routine) and continue from there. You may be a little late to work (the schedule change), but you still got there. If you find out that the construction will continue for a while (the interruption will be regular), then try to adjust your route (routine) to accommodate for the lost time (putting you back on schedule). I don’t know if this helps, or sounds really dumb, but whenever I have trouble functioning, I try to change my perspective on the situation, and it helps to change my response. I probably could have explained my thought process better.
