How long is this supposed to be helping me ? Hrs? Adderall XR 30mg Twice a day How many hours should this last? Should I take 60mg at once before working? Any advice on not building a tolerance?

XR is a 24 hour release. It is most recommended to follow your doctor's instructions before changing your dose on your own.
I have done two different cycles both times I did them for about a year and a half but then the side effects were getting bigger than the positive effects so I discontinued with discussions from my psychiatrist

Your doctor/psychiatrist should be answering these questions. It depends how long you've been taking Adderall and how your body reacts to it. For me personally, I take 10-20mg (one pill) and it works for 3-4 hours before I take a second one. My mother takes 40mg at lunchtime and that's it for the day. I recommend not taking 60mg at once.
