I’m new to Adderall. How do I know if it’s working? What should I expect?

I noticed it working in the very first day I took it. One of my biggest challenges is emotional regulation. On the same day that I took it, I was triggered at least three times by various things. I found that I was able to pause and reflect and steer myself away from spiraling, which was something I really wasn't able to do before being medicated. I think it's different for everyone. Whatever your biggest challenges are with ADHD, you should see a marked improvement. Ask your doctor how long it should take, but from what I've heard from others and experienced myself it shouldn't be more than a day, maybe two.

It can take some time to find the right medicine at the right dosage. Try not to get discouraged, and allow the process to take some time. It's not easy, I know. 💕

@CameronElizabeth maybe my dose is too low. They started me at 20 mg Adderall XR. I feel like it makes me slightly sharper, but other than that, I’m not noticing much else.
