When I started Adderall (30mg of the Rx version) my anxiety was bad and some chest tightness (not painful just odd felling) for the first 2 weeks. After 2 weeks on it that went away. If I don’t take it for a while my body needs to get use to it again.

40mg is very high for a starting dose, I think you should get a second opinion on this. No judgement toward you, I would question the doctor.

that is very true. I didn't even think about that. Even though I was on add meds as a kid when I got back on them as an adult I started at 15mg

I'm on 30 mg I.R 2 times a day. I started on 15 mg XR but hated them for the couple months I tried them. I take one as soon as I get up and moving on the morning and usually the second one around lunch time. It honestly just depends on how my day is set up and how busy I am going to be. The best piece of advice I can give you is try and take them at the same times every day to avoid the CRASH. Even more important PLEASE make sure you eat! They will suppress your appetite and they will give you dry mouth and tongue etc... just always make it a point to eat SOMETHING throughout the day so you don't get into the habit of "forgetting" to eat.

When I first started taking adderol I would tell my Dr that I was still fatigued and he would raise the dose. How ever I was having major “crashes” because he was giving me to much to soon. Changed Drs and she decreases dose and gradually increased. I have chosen not to take it every day because I became use to it and it wasn’t helping any more. So I only take it if I have something to do that day.

thank you!! i totally assumed the “crash” was from not taking enough so that is super helpful

I take the immediate release 3x per day. I have 10mg tablets so sometimes i break up the does differently as long as I take a total of 30mg a day. Most often I take 10mg every time, usually every 3-5 hrs. I try not to let it get to 5 hours because then I’ll start to get a crash. Other days I’ll do 15 in the morning, 10 in the afternoon, and 5 in the evening if I’ve been having trouble sleeping. My best advice is to take your next dose before you start to crash so you aren’t having ups and downs throughout the day
