I realized that who I am is so much more than the thoughts and feelings that show up and eventually leave. I noticed that when I release the grasp on them and imagine letting them do whatever they want, I sort of shift back into the one who watches. I find myself feeling better when I remember I'm not my thoughts or feelings. I now consider myself more like this space of aliveness. 😉

I've recently taken the idle hands approach to my mind. I realize that meds can't fix my thinking entirely, so I've taken up art, writing and music therapy. You don't have to be good at any of those things in order to benefit from the therapeutic value. Also, check out the band Blue October. I'm a music junkie and they help me on a daily basis bc the singer deals with mental illness and addiction. "Fear," would be a good place to start. Keep your head up, you're not alone. ❤️

I think it helps to change the narrative. When your head tell you lies you call them out and speak truth yo yourself instead. It also can help to practice saying affirmations every day like I am beautiful, I am worthy, I am enough, etc.
