hi, I'm having a hard time trying to decide when and when not to wear braces for sublexes as I want to make sure things are stable and protected but worry about causing further damage by restricting movement. any advice would help!

That's my problem. I wear them. Feel great and take them off too early. I do that in general anyway. I'm so happy to feel good enough to get out of bed so I over do it
I understand your concern. It took me awhile to get to the point when I could tell. What I at least always try to do is to have tape on the areas needed. If you know when it’s going to be a hard/bad day wear the braces, if not let everything breathe. Another alternative to wearing braces are compression sleeves. There made for everything nowadays. Even compression socks do wonders. So layering type and sleeves are good for days when you don’t need the heavyweights. I hope this helps!
