I did try metformin but I had explosive diarrhea also. Does anyone else know of an alternative to that that would be easier on the gut?

I take it and like it! It helped me loose a lot of weight and even improved my anxiety!

I've tried both forms and both made me pretty sick. It does work very well for some people. Inositol in a D-chiro and Myo mix like Ovasitol is a good alternative. Some studies are showing inositol treatment is more effective than Metformin.

I tried Metformin and unfortunately couldn’t tolerate the digestive side effects (it gave me explosive diarrhea 😂), but for most people it works really well! I ended up using Byetta (an injectable diabetes medication) and almost immediately my periods became regular for the first time in my life.

Yes, it's a good med for PCOS even if you don't have diabetes because it helps to lose weight and therefore decreases metabolic effects of the condition
