Looking for PCOS treatment advice

So I was just wondering. What medications or treatments are you doing for PCOS? I currently am on Metformin 1500mg. I tested my glucose level and HBA1C and it's always been normal. So just wondering because I'm also quite overweight and I manage my I diet well and try to exercise daily and my obgyn told me Metformin will help me lose weight as well.

@pinkpupbutt I don't exercise or diet excessively I think. Though I've been on Metformin for many years and nothing has happened. If anything I gained weight actually so it's discouraging.

I'm on metformin as well and while I've only been on it for a few months I've already lost just over 20 pounds. it's different for everyone. take your time and don't push yourself too hard, while dieting and exercise can be good too much of it can be really bad for you.

@BRollins8 wow...I don't have that kind of patience at all. I've never had a problem with my blood sugar levels though. And I actually don't eat unhealthy or that much either.

I hear you. Took me 10 years to shave off 60lbs. It’s been mostly diabetes management and being careful about foods.

@brollins8 I can't take a diuretic since I go to the bathroom almost every hour as is. Also I haven't lost any weight with metformin and I've been on it for a few years now.

I’m on metformin and spironolactone. Spironolactone is a diuretic and helps with hiruitism. Metformin typically can help you lose weight but if your A1c isn’t too bad then it isn’t going to help a whole lot.

I've been to scared to try medication. I don't want anything that's going to make me feel different lol
