Does anyone else believe that they have “bad hairs” they need to pull out? If so, what do you do to help? I know that fighting your ocd thoughts just causes more stress, so it’s hard to think of other ways to cope.

Sometimes I’ll run my fingers over my eyebrows and if one of them causes a different sensation then the others like a prickling sensation I have to pull it. Those are the “bad hairs”

Yes. I pull out hairs that aren’t the color, texture, or in the place I want. It’s hard to see pulling as bad when the hair looks like it doesn’t belong. I only feel guilty for pulling “good hairs.”

I’m at a loss too. I don’t necessarily have bad hairs but I have one section that I haven’t been able to stop pulling at for about 8 years. Cutting my hair short doesn’t even help anymore. I feel comforted connecting with people who struggle with this because it’s such a frustrating disorder. And it feels impossible to stop :( sending hugs

I'm at kind of a loss at this point. I definitely have that type of hair though. I'm up for any advice
