other than psych meds and anxiety meds and therapy will anything else help calm me in stressful situations as that's when I see the most heightened issues with me? I hope that makes sense.

@threehottamales dbt does not n work for me. Most places want to do them in group and it makesnme.more upset worrying about their problems unfortunately
@JessiRae oh I'm sorry to hear that. I do group but also one on one. I know some people do the book on their own.
@threehottamales this was what I was gonna say! Dbt helped me a lot
@dream6284 it's changing my life.
Marijuana helps me
I've found that anything tactile helps me a lot. I carry a 'break bag' with me when I'm out and keep it handy in the home, playing with small items or something sensory. For example, my bag usually has both cinnamon and mint gum, mints, a fidget cube, a chapstick, an essential oil stick diffuser with a scent that relaxes me, earbuds and a card with hotlines just in case/my therapy offices number

I keep a lanyard with my keyring. I add small Keychains that I can hold on to or just rub when I get nervous. I go through them fast. So far I have had a small panda, a fuzzy ice cream cone, and right now I have a small resin circle. People just think I'm fidgeting with my keys. It really helps me. I hope this helps.
I like to always have a drink with me with a plastic straw in it that I can drink from or chew on, it sounds terrible but it rlly helps me. And the drink has to be smthg iced bc my brain likes that.
@Babypotato I can't do ice because eof sensitive teeth but I used to all the time. I have however been writing and crocheting and coloring so it seems to help some. Sense COVID has hit inhave been real bad about leaving the house and everything. Although I am getting better at leaving the house slowly. Always have to have my dog with me.
