I feel like my condition is getting worse. I still have zero answers but things keep popping up and freaking me out beyond belief. I’m dealing with some serious brain fog, it’s like I can’t get through sentences sometimes and I’m starting to forget words as well as other things more frequently. I’m getting confused and I don’t feel in control of my own emotions or anything, I’m usually so much better about managing myself and communicating but it’s gotten so bad that I feel like I’m locked out of my brain. I just want to know what’s happening to me and why I’m changing like this, I’m not getting any answers from specialists or doctors in general. I’m hitting a major wave of depression and I feel like everything is getting worse. How am I supposed to feel okay when everything that helped in the past has stopped working? What can I do to cope?

It sounds sort of like burn out? With autism and ADHD you can burn out on masking and doing things that are more difficult for you. It can cause you to go into shut down, disassociate, not be able to regulate your emotions or sensory issues as well, be depressed or more anxious than usual, and you can even lose some motor skill control. Do you use any coping mechanisms for either condition that you think might be helping? Anything that makes it worse?

My mom and I both went through something similar before we were diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease, a thyroid autoimmune disorder. Sometimes you get similar symptoms that lead to hypothyroidism, but all are significantly worsened by adrenal fatigue and the body's inability to flush cortisol. I would definitely look into it if you haven't already.

@AnimalBoy For sure, burnout is definitely occurring. Although it feels like it’s in addition to the unnamed issue if that makes sense? This huge burnout hit a little after the onset of even more symptoms, it’s definitely making things more complicated to figure out :’) I’m trying to use some of my coping strategies but I’ve found that it’s harder to access during flares, might need to beg somebody to move the tv into my room lol

@Leafosaur definitely 100% move your TV lol move anything that might help to a place that is accessible to you all the time. I'm in the same boat, like almost exactly, same mystery illness that's been getting worse and is suspected to be autoimmune and on top of that im definitely feeling burnout. It sucks but I moved essentially everything within reach and got a mini fridge and im managing. Putting the microwave in our bedroom also helps way more than I expected, but that wasnt on purpose either (roommate problems) and we have a small dresser as a bed side table so we can have an entire drawer for medications and a different drawer for other necessities. It's definitely not a full fix obviously but accessibility does make a big difference.
I see on your profile that you're taking testosterone as a trans man, so I feel I should point out that this exact phenomena has been documented in FTMs on testosterone both in clinical studies and very often in anecdotes that I've seen. I can link sources if you'd like. Obviously I don't know that this is what's causing your problem but you may want prepare yourself for that being a possibility.
@Motley I would like sources, the only studies I've seen have said the opposite so I'm curious.
@AnimalBoy https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2015/08/150831001124.htm#:~:text=Summary%3A,and%20interaction%20differently%20than%20men. https://www.reddit.com/r/ftm/comments/et5gwt/mental_fog_hrt/ https://genderdysphoria.fyi/en/second-puberty-masc - this one specifically sites concurrent ADHD as being a contributing factor to testosterone related cognitive issues https://www.reddit.com/r/ftm/comments/rk43nj/adhd_and_testosterone
