How do you guys differentiate a POTS episode from an MCAS episode/attack? They both cause elevated heart rate, dizziness, faintness, cold hands, nausea, GI issues, headache, chest pain and so many other similar symptoms. Thanks in advance š¤
My MCAS flairs mimic HyperPOTS but surprisingly my actual POTS isnāt HyperPOTS. So if my blood pressure also skyrockets, for me itās MCAS.
My cardiologist is very versed on MCAS and POTS and he even has a hard time distinguishing the two since MCAS patients are more likely to have HyperPOTS.
My POTS is likely secondary to EDS and Chiari Malformation.
thank you. Itās quite fortunate you have a cardiologist well versed in these conditions, im still struggling so much finding providers that I donāt have to teach things to.
