Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria
by Alike Medical Team ∙ Updated on June 13, 2023
Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD) is a description of a symptom that is associated with ADHD which refers to difficulty with handling rejection. People who have it think too much about how people see them or what they think of them. They may work very hard in order for others to like them. RSD may affect people’s relationships, they may get easily embarrassed and get emotional when they feel rejected by others. RSD is often confused with other mental health conditions. Diagnosis should be done by an interview with a mental health proffesionalist. Treatment may include therapy and medications.
