Migraine is a neurologic disorder that often causes a strong headache that can cause severe throbbing pain or a pulsing sensation, usually on one side of the head. There are several kinds of migraines, with the most common are migraine with aura and without aura. Other kinds include: - Menstrual migraine - a migraine which is associated with your period. - Silent migraine - a migraine without headache, but only with aura symptoms. - Vestibular migraine - a migraine associated with balance problems. - Abdominal migraine - symptoms of stomach pain, nausea, and vomiting with classic migraine symptoms. - Hemiplegic migraines - a migraine with a short period of paralysis or weakness on one side of your body. - Ocular migraine - a short-termed, partial, or total loss of vision in one eye, along with a dull ache behind the eye.
