Signs & symptoms
Benign cyst of testis can present with one or more of the following symptoms: - An unusual lump - Sudden pain - Tender, swollen or hardened testicle - Swelling in the scrotum - Redness
Diagnosis
Your healthcare provider will conduct a physical exam to feel your scrotum. Then, they will decide whether referring you to further tests to ensure the cyst is benign. Transillumination - providing information about the size, location and makeup of a scrotal mass. Ultrasound - a necessary tool to diagnose a scrotal mass.
Treatment
Depending on the cause and the symptoms, benign cyst of testis may require no treatment, medicine, or more serious procedural treatment.
