Difficulty Breathing Since 2019: Need Speech Therapy?

Ive had difficulty breathing since around 2019. I went to the doctor a couple months ago, but all she said was it was a change in my vocal patterns and I need speech therapy. I haven't gotten speech therapy yet, but should I? I was pretty sure I have VCD (Vocal Cord Dysfunction) but VCD only has episodes, when my difficulty breathing is 24/7. It's only hard when I'm aware I'm breathing, too.

Struggling with Breathing Difficulty: Could it be VCD?

Has anyone here had VCD that has impacted their breathing? I’m still undergoing testing but will receive my final diagnosis at the end of the month. It seems likely that VCD is a culprit in my breathing difficulty and I have a history of vocal cord issues 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hi, my username is Primrose! I was diagnosed with vocal chord dysfunction last year. I’ve had asthma my whole life, but when my breathing was worsening, I did multiple tests and the diagnosed me with vcd. I did vocal therapy last year, but do you have any techniques to help with breathing or staying calm?
