How can I work through my trauma and my issues? I can usually figure out what's causing a problem, but I have no idea how to work through it and process it. Any tips?

it takes time to heal. do what feels best for yourself. if you haven’t yet, maybe try therapy— it could help you process your trauma and give you different tools to help you heal. wishing you the best! stay strong, you got this! ❤️❤️❤️

Trauma takes time, it's like going through the stages of grief. It took me 3 years in a stable environment to be able to talk about my trauma without crying like a baby. The first key stage is acknowledging that it happened, then you may get angry, upset, feel like the world isn't fair but that is actually you processing it naturally. Next with some practice and possibly therapy will come the acceptance. I decided that I could use what happened to me to help others, turn something bad into something good. You will find your own acceptance, but there will be a reason you feel stuck, it may be that your environment isn't supportive enough or any number of things but you'll work it out and from there you'll start to heal. If you haven't thought of therapy yet perhaps consider it as they could help you work through the process x

@Nibblz I've been thinking about therapy lately, it's just that I've tried therapy off and on since I was 13 and it's never worked. Ofc I'm willing to try again but I can't figure out what isn't working.

@royalty I understand, I've been through multiple therapies myself. But have you really focused on the root cause of the trauma yet, worked first and foremost on that? It may be worth trying it, worst case is it doesn't help so there's no real downside to trying x

That is very dependent on 1 the specific issue at that time and 2 what methods you may have already tried. There is no 100% technique for everyone but rather trial and error. But the best way I've found is talking it out to people who truly understand how you're feeling who won't gaslight you for it. Here if you wanna talk x

@Nibblz I'm mainly trying to work through recent trauma from November/December 2021. So far I've gone through my journal and revisited what happen to try and process it, but I feel like I've barely made a dent.
