i have no idea how to cope w or get past my ptsd.. does anyone have some suggestions?

      I have been stuck for a long time but it had to do with finding the right therapist. Once I found I could trust her things started coming up, she knew how to talk to me and safely. It’s important. I went through about 4 therapists where I barely said a word. It was pointless. It felt like there was no connection or they didn’t have the tools to handle what I needed.       Journaling about the experiences can help when your ready, or emdr therapy. I think of journaling as kind of an at home emdr being your eyes are moving back and forth when you read/write it but for some in person emdr might work better, I’m just not particularly vocal when uncomfortable feelings arise so fit me journaling made more sense. Either of these though you have to walk though the trauma(s) so know that going into it, it’s all about rewriting the memory in a less traumatic mind space basically

      Time, which is a terrible answer, but it’s true. I tried to rushing the healing process and it only got worst. I Remeber trying to go to this PTSD therapist and she was just fully exposing me to all of my triggers without my consent and putting me into exposure therapy. After that I just decided to live with my life and try to avoid things that would trigger me

      I understand this, it's hard but you just have to take things one day at a time. As for coping staying away from triggers untill you are in a better headspace is completely okay (it's what I still do sometimes!) I also REALLY recommend going to therapy to talk through things with a professional if you haven't already❤️❤️❤️
