Same here and it been worse lately. Trying to meditate and learn how to deal with it, been this way my whole life. Tried many meds and the only thing that works is Xanax or other fast acting medicine. No dr will prescribe in NY and it’s been awful
I never knew where that came from, but it happens to me often. It makes perfect sense. In one such attack, I was asleep and awoke to be tossed about the room like a rag doll what I could have done i had no idea, i was asleep one moment and being tossed about by a raging fit of a husband the next to wake me up.

Same here try to count to 10, deep breaths slowly, put a rubber band on your wrist and flick it but not to hard,also putting your face in a bowl of ice water then bringing it back up catch your breath and dry your face,it helps me, hugs
I suffer from anxiety attacks whenever I have to leave the house on my own. I was raised alone and was not allowed to go outdoors because my mother worked. She instilled in me fear of the outside world. She was manipulative and mean. So my fight and flight is always on.

Same. Same. I'm bipolar and for 47 years I've struggled with panic, anxiety and all of the other accoutrement that comes with. Decades of therapy, meds, sooo many different meds.. I was taking six mental health meds for the last seven years.. last August I got my medical marijuana card and seven months later I'm off five of those six meds! So I'm still on lamictal and my only two other prescriptions are medical marijuana and Gregor my emotional support animal. I never thought my life would change so rapidly. Now I take my cat with me to the dispensary to buy a joint and then we spend the afternoon hiking. I still get panic/anxiety attacks regularly but the difference in taking a few hits and taking three mgs of Xanax everyday is huge. When I wake up in the middle of the night with an attack I can usually calm down enough to get back to sleep after reminding myself that yes, I do have panic, anxiety and trauma to face every day, thanks for keeping me posted.. but you don't have to. I'm working on it. I hope that could be an option for you and all the others that come across this post.. also.. 100% recommend a Golden Girls marathon.. no better drug exists! Sending prayers or good vibes if prayer is not your thing. 🐱

@TheNewSmallTalk yes I pray everyday for me to get better I have thought hard on the medical Marijuana does it really help all I need is my heart to race and send me straight into panic
Same here! You’re definitely not alone‼️ That will happen to me if I have to go somewhere, if I think of something from the past, for no reason at all! Your heart is pounding, hands shaking, on full alerts, heat washes over you… I s horrible. So sorry you experienced this as well!!! It’s hard to talk about with people who are anxiety free!
Welcome! That happens to me too. I wake up in the middle of the night and have anxiety bouts. Sweating and racing thoughts, heart pounding, it's horrid. I believe it's because our brain gets triggered by something subconscious and perceives false danger.
@Butterflygoddess great interpretation
