Does anybody else get triggered or agitated by the sun? I live in Alaska, so I'm getting ALOT of sun exposure right now. It's not only messing with my sleep cycle, which isn't great for my bipolar, it's also making me feel irritable. It hurts my eyes and feels like it's baking my skin, not in a good way. I just wish it would overcast or rain for a day. Its after 11pm here and the sun is still up. It's been nothing but blue sunny skies for days and I can't stand it!

I get very aggravated by the sun but only when it's so hot you feel like you skin is melting off. The humidity is so high you start to immediately sweat when you walk it the door. By the time I can get in my truck I'm pouring sweat It's just miserable. I can't imagine it still being day light at 11am. That would screw me up.

YES!!! I've always felt like a vampire or something because when everyone else is excited about it being sunny and warm, I'm sulking and miserable. I live in Minnesota, so it isn't nearly as bad as Alaska, but it is still sunny here until 8pm or so. And I'm awake rn bc it started being sunny at 5am. It messes with my sleep schedule too :( I'm very fair skinned (pale af, really), so I'm always afraid of sunburns and skin cancer. I get migraines, so bright sun can trigger those. AND I'm on the autism spectrum so the actual FEELING of the sun, humidity, sweat, and everything else is way super overwhelming and overstimulating. Last Sunday, my boyfriend and I moved into our new apartment and it was nearly 90°F and I made it almost the entire day masking and just pushing through until I had a meltdown when I just couldn't cope anymore. You're not alone! I share your hatred of the sun. Praying for a cloudy day for you ❤️

If I lived in Alaska, this time of year, I’m sure that amount of sun would drive me crazy. I imagine you’re not alone, bi polar or not, that has to mess with anyone’s sleep cycle. Without sleep everything is upsetting. The sun sets at around 8:30p here and the birds start going nuts, chirping at around 4:30 am. So annoying. I am planning to get black out curtains and maybe a sound machine to drown out birds. My kids are waking early too. Good luck I can only imagine your aggravation
