It takes work and time. Iāve learned to accept some things about myself that have made living with mental health conditions easier. For example, I donāt fight my stimming. I accept I donāt socialize like everyone else. Itās ok to be different. With depression, it helps to talk to a therapist and to others who understand you (like on Alike š) And I make my mental (and physical) health a priority.

This feeling can be common among individuals dealing with chronic physical or mental illnesses. It may stem from the ongoing cycle of illness, treatment, and relapse, which can lead to feelings of hopelessness and despair. Some people express difficulty in accepting their constant state of sickness, while others fear that they might be stuck living with their condition forever.
