I got tested for various food sensitivities recently and I was told to avoid certain foods temporarily to help with my symptoms. I didn't think it would be that hard as a lot of them were things I'm already avoiding but now I'm trying to decide what to eat for dinner and looking at ingredient lists and pretty much everything I would normally eat has one or more ingredients from my irritants list 😭 do y'all shop any specific brands that are IBS friendly? I'm at a loss here, I'm trying to do better with food but a lot of times it feels safer to just not eat at all 🙃

As a soy replacement use coconut aminos and I am not allowed to eat white rice but can eat brown rice. I wonder if this is something you can explore? I have a lot of food sensitivities myself and have been on this diet for a year plus. Feel free to message me with a more detailed list of foods you have trouble with. I also am allergic to raw fruits and veggies so we have a lot of similarities.

I don’t shop brands. Eating foods with labels will create many more problems. Switching to whole foods helped me. Food in its own skin or shell. No wrapper. Fruit, Vegetables, lean protein, bulk oats etc. Real food verses food products. If we’re eating something that has a brand or commercial it’s not helping us it’s hurting. You need to learn how to cook. YouTube it! Cooking saves $$$$ & your life. Do this as if your life depends upon it because it does.

Giant and Wegmans is where I get all my special foods. Both are amazing.

I got a bio scan. It was a little weird but I figure I should at least try to see if avoiding these foods for a while helps me.

May I ask how you got tested for food sensitivities?

The brand Fody has been really helpful for me! I use their pasta sauce and taco sauce which are both low FODMAP

I can't do soy or egg yolks or rice unfortunately. I see it looked like I called those safe foods earlier but I meant those are irritant foods that are in the stuff I'd usually eat. I'm having some soup for dinner (it has soy and egg yolks but oh well). I'm gonna do some research and see what I can find that works. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Like rice, soy sauce, and cooked veggies that are safe for you and egg yolks :)

It's a long list 😅 most veggies (can eat some if cooked), soy, egg yolk, grapes, oranges, and some others I can't think of at the moment. The ones I'm finding in my usual safe foods are soy, egg yolk, green beans, and green peas.

What foods are you asked to avoid? :)
