I am going through a really bad depressive episode. I don't know what to do. All I want to do is stay in my bed. The things that usually help me aren't working and I feel hopeless. I have extreme intrusive thoughts 24/7 and I feel so emotionally burnt out. Share a positive affirmation with me, please? Thank you!

I’ve had those days and I’m so sorry you’re experiencing such a bad time. Depression is bitch. Sometimes I will say the affirmation “my feelings are valid and I am worthy of help” It sounds a little cheesy but I find it helpful to remind myself that what I’m going through is not made up, it’s valid and real, and that I am worthy of peoples love. Good luck and I hope today gets better.

We are here for you. We care & I know how hard this is. It efing sucks and no one seems to get it. Call someone, read a book, watch tv, talk about it, and do anything that can occupy you, even though I understand that you won’t feel better at the time. This won’t last forever even though it may seem like it. It’s a fight to get help, and to get other people to help, but it’s worth it & you will be ok 💕

Lately I’ve been playing with my intrusive thoughts with a bit of courageous silliness! Like say I have an intrusive thought that a stranger is going to attack me, I’ll take charge of the story and pretend it’s just giving me a chance to practice my awesome ninja moves! Use the imagination to carry out the story in a positive way :)
Self care! When I get like that I force myself to take a walk with music so I can see things outside. Ill often start with sad music but it is too slow to walk to so by the end I’m not fixed but I’m listening to happier music and I feel a little better.
Bad days are going to happen. And sometimes those bad days are going to feel like forever. But they’re not. It’s okay to have days where you don’t want to move or do anything. But you have to take it one day at a time and remind yourself, it’s okay and it’s not going to be forever. SELF CARE IS SO IMPORTANT 💕
I know how this feels. Thoughts are like clouds, and you are the sky
I am brave I am safe the world is my home
