I'm currently having a really bad depressive episode and I can barely function, I just cry and sleep all the time. If anyone has any advice or things that help you feel better please let me know.

Go out! Even to your closest coffee shop, even for half an hour. Do something outside your home for yourself. You will see that life just keeps going and your episode also will end, it is part of your journey. š

Surround yourself with friends and family and just keep doing your regular activities and the things you like, even if you aren't enjoying it at the moment. Everything is temporary, you will get through this episodeš
My therapist recently told me "Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly." When related to mental health- Like with showering (that's been mentioned on here) just sitting in the water is better than not doing it at all. Eating half a granola bar instead of a full meal is better than not eating at all. Give yourself permission to not expect perfection out of yourself when you're having a hard time.

Citrus or peppermint smells help me. I also just stand in the shower and let the water run over me cleansing my aura and energy.

I have days like these too from time to time. I always remind myself that thereās always an end to it and soon Iāll feel better. Hope thatās helping you somehowš¤š»
I know this may sound counter productive to some but put on some music you can sing word for word and go sit in the shower. If you can't do a full shower that's fine. Jus sit their and let the water rinse you. Than comb your hair out and put on some comfy jammies. For some reason this really helps me.
I personally think therapy like counseling or talk therapy is all that keeps me going some weeks. Journaling and poetry also help me.
When I'm depressed I write in a journal all my thoughts and why I'm depressed
