im kayd, im 17, and recently i feel like my meds have stopped working. ive been on prozac for a couple years now, but for the past two months, my emotions have been absolutely wrecked. i was recently diagnosed with bpd and i have no idea how to cope. all of this on top of school is making me unmotivated and tired all the time. im wearing myself down mentally and physically but i cant stop in fear of disappointing myself

Lamictal isn't like that you still have the emotions they are just not as intense and you can handle them better

prozac didn’t do much for me. it would stop all my emotions for days and it would unconsciously build up and then all come out at a random time and it would be too much for me to handle. it worked at numbing me for sure. i had no personality & no motivation because it bored me.

You're fine you're fine you're young for you have a good opportunity to get a hold of your disability to learn about it lamictal is a good medication with Lexapro to help with your moods, after you've taken a medication that's worked for a long time sometimes they just tend not to work as well so it's good to change up maybe you can find something better they're coming up with all kinds of things

If your prozac isn't working, I'd suggest talking to a doctor about switching antidepressants. I'm 24, and in the past 10 years, I had tried at least 4 antidepressants before I found one that worked for me. It sucks, but it's a trial-and-error process. I'm sorry
