I've been told I'm struggling with betrayal trauma but it's not just the fact he cheated but also all the abuse. the flashbacks are terrible the nightmares even worse. I have a restraining order but I'm still terrified to go anywhere because he is always there but I'm expected to co-parent with my abuser while having a restraining order?!? how does all of that even work?!?! I'm exhausted and scared and never feel like myself anymore. I have four girls that depend. I can't keep doing this this way. there has to be a better and safer way for me to get through all of this...... đŸ„ș

I don’t know how to relate with you on the children level, but my ex (cheated and abusive) used to follow me everywhere (even to therapy). I tried to get a restraining order but they said that there wasn’t enough evidence. 😞

You're very strong you have taken the first steps to your new lives. Keep strong, I know this is hard.

I am so sorry you are in this position. I can't imagine what you're going through, and I don't have a magic fix for ptsd. But I wanted to tell you that your girls are SO lucky to have a mom like you. As scared and broken as you feel right now.... that is how much strength and courage they see when they look at their momma ❀

First just one step at a time . You have a councilor, therapist, preist, friend, victims advocate, anyone you can talk to. If not call the PD in your area and ask for the phone for the victims advocate or the battered womans shelter. They can help you find someone to talk to in your area. They may even be able to go to court with you if necessary. And other things you and your children may need in the future. Hope this helps. And if your ex is breaking the restraining orders call the police this is dangerous.
