Hello, hope everyone is having a good morning. I'm struggling w stuff right now. to say the least. Thing is, I've always made friends easy, right? People are drawn to me one way or another and we start to get to know eachother better, easy The hard part is somehow getting them to stay. Most of my friendships in the past 4-5 years have only lasted a year or less, and i'm worried its a pattern now. I feel as if people like the idea of me, this image that i project, instead of who i actually am. Like the real me isn't enough to have connections like that. I feel like once people start to know me they don't like me anymore, to put it plainly. The one thing i want is to be seen, fully as who i am, and have one person not back away.

I get that- I'm not sure how to solve the problem though- sometimes it's that the people around you just aren't right, and other times it can be an issue of not being a very available friend n stuff. It all depends on personal situations, i think usually the important keys to having healthy friendships is understanding ur own boundaries, understanding theirs, respecting yourself and caring about yourself. In most of my friendships that went wrong, either we didnt match up right or one of us was struggling mentally and couldn't express it healthily. I don't know your situation so all of that could be wayyyy off, but I hope it helped a bit
