I can't focus right now. I feel like I'm going to fail this assignment because I can't get anything in. My mind keeps drifting to what happened between me and my former friend, and when that happens, I can't think straight. I feel like I should be healed by now after what happened, which then turns into me beating myself up for something I can't change and have seen no reason to change other than still feeling pain.

When struggling to focus on an assignment I find it most helpful to completely step away from what I'm doing and assess my mind and what I'm upset with. You have to take things one step at a time no matter how badly you just want to get it all done.

i have a similar situation where i lost my best friend and i believed it was my fault for years. nobody talks about how bad friend breakups are!! i listened to this ptsd meditation and it helped a lot, especially for letting out emotions and forgiving yourself. made me cry like a little banshee https://youtu.be/H8e4sATalz8
