It sucks when you see someone completely out of your league but they're your absolute type. This has been my case for men and women. π

I dated a sears model in High-school... she was way out of my league. She always had men in their 20's hitting on her. Even when I was around!!!. She was really cool but the pressure from all the people wanting to get in her pants was too much for her so we broke up π It was fun while it lasted but it's not something I would want as an adult

well independent can be just that as well. It just depends on what the other person is looking for. I've never cared if my wife could hold a job down. She has not had a job since we have been married. Shoot your shot. You never know what might happenπ

@SecondChance well thank you, that makes me feel a whole lot better actually in getting back into the dating world eventually and not settling into a toxic relationship with my ex because I think he's the only one who'll have me. π
@italianxpeaches yay!!! You got this

I have serious issues when it comes to properly expressing myself (especially romantically and sexually) and actually allowing myself to develop "crushes" on average everyday people. I only seem to be that invested in celebrities and idols. I think my many insecurities and health issues has made me isolate myself in a way, because I knew I would of been no service to anyone or wouldn't be able to commit long due to physical hindrance. However since getting diagnosed with a disease that seemed to control every aspect of my life, I think I'll be more open to allowing myself to feel crushes for everyday folks and actually confess if any deep feelings arise. I now have a bit more hope about someday finding the one for me.
@Rahja oh wow that's really good that you got a diagnosis and can work towards a better future and allowing yourself to feel things for regular people :) I understand what you mean about celebrities and stuff though. Even as old as I'am, I still fall into those types of crushes. I think everyone is attracted to those people to some extent.
And I asked out that girl and 3 wonderful years later, still dating π
@IAmTired247 that's amazing! :) I'm happy to hear it
Well, I'll let you in on a little secret. Guys of all types are attracted to women who can take care of themselves. Who are independent and who don't need a man to take care of them. Average is amazing in some cases β€οΈ
@SecondChance define independent π cause I can hold myself down and hold a house down, take care of a man and keep a place looking pristine as well as myself. But I have problems holding jobs down due to my depression and other mental health issues.
@SecondChance Oh wow! At least you got th chance π what I consider out of my league isn't even that. I went to physical therapy today and the therapist I have is exactly one of my types to a t and he's just an ordinary guy in my small town, just working a job anyone can really. But yet he's so handsome and therefore I consider people like that out of my league because I'm just so average and have nothing going for me. π And I'm a mess of trauma and issues. What handsome, successful man would want that? I see the things these same men say all the time on social media about people like me and it's not good.
