I stopped for taking my antidepressants because I keep having the urge to take a whole bottle. But at the same time they really helped. What do I do?

Hey anonymous_girl! I can’t quite tell you how to take away the urges, but I have had suicidal thoughts on Prozac before. Luckily, it turned out to be the Prozac and not my depression. I’m insanely glad I talked to my psychiatrist about those urges, because she was able to pinpoint why immediately. I know for a fact that you can do this (and not just ‘do it’, also feel good while living!). I’m so sorry I can pin point a solution for you. I really, really am. I just know for me, talking to my psychiatrist really helped, and I hope the same might work for you ❤️

I've heard that you're at the biggest risk right after you start antidepressants, maybe something that would help is when you're feeling a little bit better during the day is prep one of those weekly pill containers, and then put the bottle away in a place that's really obnoxious, like ontop of a fridge requiring a chair or something

Well, you should talk to your doctor about it truly. And if you live with someone you could totally have them mange the pills for you. Or have a pet to take care of, since every time I've felt like that I had a pet that needs to be taken care of and if I did, Noone would take care of it, so I have to take care of it. (Which personally helped me sometimes when it was really bad)

@Lennon037 I love my mother. And she has told me many times that she doesn’t want me here and that she wishes I was never born. That it. And I don’t have any pets. I don’t really have any reason that I’m still here

@Anonymous_girl16 that's why you should get a pet if you want that is. Maybe try staying over at a well known relative or friend, that isn't emotionally weighing you down. For like a night or two.
