ask yourself why you are pushing them away. it could be a defense mechanism! if you’re afraid of rejection or loss or confrontation, this could be a very real reason why you’d push people away. if this is the case, tell yourself the POSITIVE what-if’s. what if they stay in my life and become the biggest support system for me, my best friend, my maid of honor at my wedding. what if they love me for who i am and appreciate the things about me that i hate? if you’re pushing people away because you’re depressed, sometimes it’s helpful to set boundaries. tell them, “hey, nows not a great time to talk/hang, but i still care about you and hope we can catch up soon.” or, if you’re an open and sharing person, let them in on what’s going on and let them be there to help you. im not sure if this helps because i don’t really know why you’re pushing them away but i hope it helps a little!! ❤️❤️ much love from your fellow bipolar ii pal
