i've started crocheting whenever i feel the urge and it's really helpful tbh. the repetition and the slight ache in your hand when you do it for a while take my mind off it. it's especially enjoyable if i have a youtube video on in the background while i'm doing it.

Honestly when I feel like going back to self harm I put an ice cube where I want to cut. Sort of gives off the same feeling but if you want to see red then red sharpies and markers are your best friend. I also sometimes stare at one spot and put all of my attention on that. Stickers help with that btw put a sticker on something you use everyday (keys, phone case, headphone case, etc.)
