For what it’s worth, I just hit 2 years, and if I recall correctly, I started more consistently passing as a guy sometime around the 1 year mark.

Make sure to document your progress. Thats very important in tracking just how much progress you’ve made. Gels are notorious for taking longer and being slower, i can assure you injections are more potent and noticeable a lot faster. Within 2 months of being on injections my voice shifted. The injections are not very painful despite the size of the needle, the biggest obstacle is gonna be trying to take them yourself if you think you can even stomach it. I struggled for a while with taking my t myself, and i was even doing it pretty wrong which had potential to be bad.. but it is simple you just need to make sure you have someone who can explain/demonstrate for you. I have this video that helped me if you ever needed it ik u only mentioned it u may be convinced you arent gonna try it, but it has quicker/more intense change. I have about a year in total of injections under my belt and i have the beginnings of actual facial hair, a lot of hair honestly everywhere, my voice has dropped considerably, even able to sing low parts in songs now. If its results you want, injections are worth it. They’re worth the mental toughness you have to build on

The timeline for changes such as voice deepening and passing as a male can vary greatly from person to person. One individual reported their voice dropped suddenly about 2 months in, then gradually got deeper over the next year. However, they also noted that the delivery method of testosterone (gel vs injections) and your body's natural chemistry can influence this timeline. If you're noticing other changes, it shows that the testosterone is working. If you're still concerned, you might want to discuss with your doctor about changing the dose or possibly switching to shots.
