@kxda gel can be just as effective and work just as well as a medication but it also as an application type isn't as reliable as an injection. There are more opportunities for some of the dosages to be varied due to the topical nature and because not everyone's skin absorption is the same. From what I've noticed through the years of talking to people on it gel works best for very specific lifestyles where the person has very little physical contact with anything at all especially other living things and limited physical activity, but even with all that it seems to still test less steadily than those who use injections.

I've been on testogel for 3 years this December, and my periods stopped after around a year

The shot tends to be absorbed more steadily and consistently, so it can give faster and steadier results. I would suggest SubQ (injections into your fat) as opposed to intramuscular both for the possibility for the steadiest dosage and release, keeping in mind that's also individual, and for a less scary needle experience as they are much smaller and don't go as deep, you don't even need to aspirate. However periods specifically are one of the most varied changes and can happen any time from less than 2mo to more than 2 years of taking T steadily. If you had a transmasc relative who went on T I would suggest asking them about it but unfortunately most people aren't really that lucky.

Luckily buddy, all the changes that would happen when doing injections will also happen with gel. More likely than not, it’ll just take a bit longer. I was having a lot of problems taking my t consistently when I first started, so I didn’t get to stop worrying about shark week until a few months ago honestly. And if I slack on taking the t by even a few days there can be super super light spotting, so its one of those things that will stop as you consistently take it, but if you stop then your body usually will just pick up where it left off, in that department anyway. I took my t fairly consistently for like 6 months, then started getting inconsistent with 2 weeks or more between each injection, then i stopped clean for a few months. When I started again, it was stilly pretty spotty, but I wouldnt go more than three weeks without taking it. Then finally I’ve been taking my testosterone consistently since about may? And shark week wasn’t a problem anymore after like a month of taking it consistently. It is a very unique timeline unfortunately, so I don’t know if it helps you sort of guess when how long you’ll need to take it before it stops, but as long as you are CONSISTENTLY taking it? It’s only a matter of time 😎

@skeptic_ ngl i kinda had trouble figuring out how long it took to stop for you bc the timeline is a bit confusing but its just hard not knowing because i cant find anyone else on gel to kinda compare too

@kxda HA I’m so sorry friend I didn’t make it easy. It doesn’t make it easier either considering that period of time is a blur. However, I’d say it took me about 9-12 months of consistent injection for it to stop for me. I’m not a huge social media buff, but I’m sure there are servers or group chats or forums that have fellas who use gel
