Starting Testosterone Tomorrow: How Did You Manage Waiting for Changes?

i'm a trans guy and i start testosterone tomorrow (!!!). i've been waiting for four years, so it's a big deal for me. just a question for other trans people on hormones: how did/do you manage waiting for changes to start after being on hormones?

Congratulations!! I actually used an app called 1 second every day which creates a video out of pictures, so I took a photo of myself every day, and the changes were a lot easier to spot then!! You might find that you get some things happen before others. Like, bottom growth started only like 2 months in for me, and my periods stopped at 3 months. Good luck and again, congrats!!

congrats on starting t tomorrow🎉🎉!! personally i didn't have to wait very long for changes to happen (i was seeing a horrible doctor every six months and my dose was somewhat high...) but in the very beginning i kept reminding myself that changes were going to happen no matter what. even if the changes feel "slow." i think also documenting your progress, taking pictures of your facial hair every few weeks and noting any changes in your body is probably going to help a lot with the anticipation. that's something i deeply regret not doing. but a great app to log all of that info, including your start date for t is transtracks!!
