Happy Saturday! I just tested positive for covid and my symptoms are very severe. I have extremely painful body aches (I literally can’t move), a constant migraine, my head is spinning, and I have a fever. My heart rate hasn’t gone below 90 bpm for three days. All of the symptoms of my chronic illnesses are flaring (celiac, POTS, endometriosis, and MS) and I feel like I’m dying. Should I go to the ER? What are red flags I need to watch out for?

Don't go to the ER unless someone else is having to call an ambulance for you. If you're struggling to breathe, lay in the most comfortable position for you and just take really slow, deep breaths. If you or someone else has an Albuterol rescue inhaler, keep it on hand. If things go way south, that'll keep you breathing enough until EMTs arrive. Alternate tylenol and ibuprofen for the fever. Track your temp every hour and if the fever doesn't go away, call the ER you'd be going to and they can advise you on what to do, whether that's coming in via ambulance or having someone take you in. I'd hate for you to have to sit in a waiting room full of people for 10+ hours, both for your sake and theirs, but if you go to the ER and you're not actively in respiratory distress, you will be waiting for a LONG time
